At Alien Intellect, we’re looking for a senior professional with experience in business analysis and product research to help us understand customer needs, assess the market, and identify product opportunities.
In this role, you’ll report to the CCO and work closely with the CTO, collaborating with the product team when needed. This is a client-facing role focused on investigating customer problems and turning research findings into clear recommendations that inform product decisions.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and conduct customer interviews, independently and alongside the CCO.
- Analyze customer needs, workflows, and pain points, and map user journeys.
- Research the market and competitors to identify product gaps and opportunities.
- Conduct user research to investigate problems and evaluate product assumptions.
- Translate findings into written analysis, clear requirements, and prioritized recommendations.
- Present findings and recommendations to the CCO and CTO, and work with product and engineering teams to assess their implications and feasibility.
Requirements
- Software product experience: Senior-level experience in Business Analysis, Product Management, Product Discovery, or UX/Product Research, with direct involvement in product decisions.
- Hands-on customer interviewing: Experience personally designing and conducting customer interviews, with examples of how the findings influenced a problem definition or product decision.
- Practical Product Discovery experience: A track record of taking ambiguous customer problems or business needs through research and analysis to a recommended course of action.
- Business analysis experience: Experience examining customer workflows and translating needs into documentation that product or engineering teams can use.
- Market and competitor research: Experience producing competitive analysis that led to a specific product opportunity, identified gap, or recommendation.
- Technical collaboration: Experience working directly with engineers or technical leaders on product requirements and constraints. A technical or product background is required; programming experience is not.
- Analytical writing: Ability to produce clear, concise reports that connect evidence to conclusions and recommendations.
- Advanced English: Ability to independently conduct customer interviews, participate in technical and product discussions, present findings, and write analytical reports in English.
- Independent ownership: Experience planning and driving research, following up on missing information, and delivering actionable findings with limited supervision.
- Analytical judgment and curiosity: Ability to learn quickly, ask precise questions, identify the core of a problem, and challenge assumptions.
- Product interest: A genuine interest in our product and the AI space.
Nice to Have
- Experience with B2B or SaaS products.
- Experience in AI, including an understanding of its applications and limitations.
- Experience working directly with international clients.
- Experience with usability testing and user behavior analysis.
