• Applying nursing skills (e.g. dressing, injection, suture, vaccination, health advice & education), triage of patients, screening for nutritional status of children, distribution of medications to patients from clinic’s pharmacy, with respecting MSF protocols in a Primary Health Care facility for vulner-able population during day shifts.
• Knowing, promoting, implementing and following up the universal hygiene standards/ precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control, security rules and other protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensuring high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment. Al-ways respecting medical secrets and confidentiality.
• Organizing and carrying out care and treatments to all patients according to medical prescriptions and assisting during consultations and other medical procedures. Participating in health education of the patient (and family) when necessary.
• Respect IPC according to set standards especially when handling patients with infectious diseas-es.
• Involved in the screening of patients for infectious diseases among patients passing through the triage room.
• Ensure patient support and education.




MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities


• Ensuring patients are properly received and those with lack of autonomy are assisted, supported in their movement and comfort in the OPD Center.
• Ensuring triage of patients in waiting areas or during emergencies, detecting the priority acute/emergency cases, carrying out first aid care and referring them to the doctor.
• Pre-disinfection of equipment for sterilization, sending and receiving material from outsourced facility. Proper storage of the same and always ensuring availability of sterilized equipment.
• Carrying out continuous triage and follow-up of patients in the que to assess evolution of their state of health and identify any emergency or deterioration for appropriate action.
• Documentation: Complete and accurate filling of patients’ files accordingly, consumptions, statistic/data forms, registers, etc. Participating in data collection and keeping supervisors informed.
• Participating in the department-related pharmacy/end user units management(inventories, record keeping etc.
• Perform cleaning and minor maintenance/cleaning for biomedical equipment used. Following the user manual and protocols and alert supervisor in case of malfunctioning.
• Carry out screening of rapid diagnostic tests ensuring pre/post counselling of patients as per Standing Opera-tion Procedure in place and training received.
• Be ready to rotate in the various nursing areas as allocated by your supervisor(Triage, vital sign room, Nursing room, RDT screening, Dispensary etc)
• Promote, implement and follow up the universal hygiene standards/precautions, bio-hazard prevention and in-fection control, ensuring high standards of hygiene.
• Assists the doctor with stabilization of patients and eventual preparations for patient’s referral.
• Collaborate on daily medical tasks with all medical personnel employed by MSF and partner, in the MSF's supported PHCC in Kerman.
• Always respect confidentiality of patient records and information.
• Collaborate well with other services for the interest of our patients( Medical, SRH, Mental Health, CHWs).
• Respect and demonstrate highest standard of professionalism with other colleagues and our patients.
• Any other job assigned to you by your Supervisor.
• The tasks above are not exhaustive regarding the specificity of MSF and possible evolution that could occur over time through adaptation of the mission. Consequently, other tasks can be asked to allow the mission to function optimally.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is essential.
Experience: 2 years of previous experience is essential.
Previous experience in other NGOs is desirable
Languages: Farsi and English language are essential.
Knowledge: Essential computer literacy (word, excel).
