We are currently seeking an experienced Microwave Transmission Engineer to join our technical team.
As a Microwave Engineer the main responsibilities will include but not limited to design, planning, optimization, and troubleshooting of microwave transmission networks in both access and backhaul infrastructure and playing a critical role in ensuring seamless, high-capacity data transmission across the network, collaborating closely with other layers of network products such as optical transmission network, Radio access network, IP and routing, field operations, and project management department.

"Key responsibilities"

-Network Design & Planning: Design and plan the integration of microwave links, line-of-sight (LoS), perform path profile analyses, DCN, Synchronization signal processing and calculate link budgets to ensure optimal performance, availability, and capacity.

-Deployment & Integration: Visibility, Commissioning and integration of microwave equipment (indoor/outdoor units, antennas, waveguides, and IDU/ODU systems) as well as integration of MW links software parameter modifications on live network.

-Optimization & Performance Monitoring: Monitor network metrics, analyze fading, interference, or capacity bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions to maximize link reliability.

-Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Lead complex fault-locating, alarm analysis and troubleshooting for degraded or disconnected microwave links, coordinating swiftly with field support teams to minimize downtime.

-SLA & Quality of Service (QoS) Management: Ensure that all microwave links meet strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding availability, jitter, packet loss, and error performance.

-Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network topologies, path surveys, site configurations, and engineering reports

-Link Budget & Frequency Planning: Perform detailed frequency planning and interference analysis to coordinate working channels and secure optimal spectrum allocations with regulatory considerations.

"Requirements"

- Strong knowledge of microwave planning, link design, integration, and parameter optimization.

- Experience with microwave frequency planning (6–38 GHz) and high-capacity E-band (70/80 GHz) solutions.

- Good understanding of transmission technologies and protocols (SDH, Ethernet over MW, MPLS, EPL/EVPL/EPLAN/EVPLAN).

- Familiarity with advanced microwave technologies such as ACM, XPIC, and MIMO.

- Experience with transmission network management systems (e.g., Web LCT, U2000, iMaster NCE) for monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.

- Knowledge of LOS survey, link analysis, network synchronization (SyncE, IEEE 1588v2/PTP), QoS, jitter, and wander.

- Ability to manage multiple deployment projects, coordinate with field teams/vendors, and meet project milestones.

- Knowledge of end-to-end telecom network architecture and traffic flow is an advantage.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, or related fields.

- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Microwave Transmission network engineering.

- Good English communication skills (reading and writing).
